Micronesia, officially the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), is made up of more than 600 islands scattered across the western Pacific Ocean. Dozens of sunken Japanese warships and aircraft from World War II rest beneath the surface, now encrusted with coral and surrounded by schools of tropical fish. These wrecks, many still containing artifacts like porcelain, helmets, and radios, offer a haunting but beautiful reminder of the past.
