Newsletter Signup


The Newsletter Signup gives you a way to collect contact information for your site visitors. It is important to note that Newsletter submissions are kept in the reports section - be sure to check your reports regularly.

 

Adding the Newsletter Signup

The Newsletter Signup can be added to any text block sections on your page. Add your cursor to where within the section you want your Newsletter Signup to display, and select the icon that looks like a newspaper:

 

Newsletter Signup Properties

 

  1. Title: Text added here will display above the Newsletter using the styling associated with heading 2.
     
  2. Title Alignment: If a title is added, this will align the title to the box as either left, center, or right.
     
  3. Alignment: This will align the newsletter within your section - left, center, or right.
     
  4. Width: Width can be set as a percentage or pixel amount.
     
  5. Padding: Padding can be added using a pixel amount and will cause that amount of space around the Newsletter Signup.
     
  6. Display: The Newsletter can show as either text, or an image. Click here to see the image.
     
  7. Intro Text: You can use either the default text or replace it with your own. This will show in bold at the top of the Newsletter Signup box (see image example below).
     
  8. Description Text: You can use either the default text or replace it with your own. This will show in the center of the Newsletter Signup box (see image example below).
     
  9. Button Text: You can use either the default text or replace it with your own. This will show at the bottom of the Newsletter Signup box, using the same button styling that you've set with your theme. (see image example below).

  10. Background Color: This allows you to set a color to the background of the Newsletter Signup box. If left blank, it will default to white.
     
  11. Text Color: This allows you to set the color of the text within the Newsletter Signup box. If left blank, it will default to the font color set on your site.
     
  12. Mailing Address Field Checkbox: Checking this will add optional fields for mailing address (see example image below:)

 

Newsletter Signup Submissions

When a site visitor submits a Newsletter form, they are brought to a page confirming their submission and informing them to complete a registration link that they will receive at the email they submitted:
 


 

An email will be sent to the email address they provided:

Once they select the confirmation link, they will be brought to your site once more to another confirmation page:


 

Newsletter Reports

To view any Newsletter submissions, go to the Reporting section of your NexCite administration. Both the "Customer Email Address List" and "Customer Source Report" will show information for Newsletter signups.
